Senior Manager, Business Development
Responsibilities:
- Drive Decarbonization through Solutions Sales: Lead the sales of our comprehensive portfolio of applications and infrastructure products, focusing on delivering tailored decarbonization solutions for multi-site operations. This includes leveraging our platform to create innovative, sustainable solutions that align with industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
- Foster Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships: Develop and sustain strategic partnerships within the built environment sector, cultivating a collaborative ecosystem that accelerates decarbonization efforts across multi-site operations. Ensure these partnerships are mutually beneficial and aligned with our sustainability goals.
- Articulate and Advocate Value Propositions: Clearly communicate the unique value propositions of our sustainability solutions, adopting a consultative approach that addresses the specific needs, challenges, and opportunities within the client’s business. Ensure that our offerings are positioned as essential to achieving their sustainability objectives.
- Lead and Win Competitive Tenders: Strategically lead and manage responses to tender opportunities, crafting compelling proposals that emphasize the transformative impact of our decarbonization solutions. Develop and execute pursuit strategies that maximize our chances of securing new business.
- Deepen Client Business Acumen: Build a deep understanding of each client’s operational landscape and sustainability ambitions. Engage with key stakeholders at all levels to co-create solutions that drive substantial environmental impact and deliver measurable business value.
- Establish and Maintain Trusted Advisor Status: Cultivate long-term relationships with clients, positioning our organization as their go-to expert in sustainability and decarbonization. Provide ongoing guidance and insights that reinforce our role as a critical partner in their sustainability journey.
- Align Project Goals with Sustainability Outcomes: Collaborate closely with clients to define clear project goals, deliverables, and budgets that are aligned with their sustainability targets. Ensure that all projects contribute meaningfully to their decarbonization efforts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven Sales and Business Development Expertise: Over 5 years of relevant experience in selling Building Management Systems (BMS), software solutions, or renewable energy products, with a strong focus on decarbonization initiatives for multi-site operations.
- Industry Connections: Extensive network of clients and partners within the Built Environment sector, including strong relationships with Facilities Management companies.
- Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Smart Building domain, with specific expertise in energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and IoT applications. Knowledge of automation and digital solutions is a significant advantage.
- Technical Acumen: Strong IoT technical knowledge, combined with practical experience in implementing automation and digital technologies in multi-site environments.
- Operational and Business Savvy: Demonstrated operational and business acumen, with a proven ability to navigate complex client organizations, effectively map accounts, and engage key stakeholders across various levels.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Outstanding presentation and interpersonal communication abilities, with a proven track record of influencing and consulting with clients to drive sustainability outcomes.
- Adaptability and Resourcefulness: Highly resourceful and comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. Capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and managing challenging assignments with decisiveness.
