Business Analyst Intern
Objective:
To identify and analyze sustainability leaders and their journey towards Net Zero in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, with a focus on understanding key drivers, pain points, trends, and market dynamics in the downstream market. The goal is to develop a comprehensive report over a 6-month period that will provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Analysis:
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of the APAC sustainability landscape, focusing on companies leading the Net Zero journey.
- Identify and understand key drivers such as compelling events and pain points that motivate organizations to embark on or accelerate their Net Zero journey.
- Investigate how companies in APAC are approaching their sustainability goals, including strategies, initiatives, and challenges faced.
- Understanding Pain Points:
- Analyze the typical pain points organizations encounter during their transition to Net Zero, such as regulatory compliance, financial constraints, technological limitations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Explore how these pain points vary across different industries and company sizes.
- Market Trends Analysis:
- Identify emerging trends in the downstream market related to sustainability and Net Zero initiatives, such as innovations in technology, shifts in consumer behavior, and changes in regulatory landscapes.
- Track developments in renewable energy adoption, carbon offset programs, and sustainable supply chain practices.
- Identifying Key Leaders:
- Map out key leaders and influential figures driving sustainability in the APAC region. This includes both corporate leaders and thought leaders in sustainability.
- Understand their role in shaping the sustainability agenda and their contributions to the Net Zero movement.
- Customer Discovery Calls:
- Conduct customer discovery calls with key stakeholders, including sustainability officers, industry experts, and regulatory bodies, to gain first-hand insights into the challenges and opportunities in achieving Net Zero.
- Develop a set of structured interview questions to guide these discussions and extract valuable qualitative data.
- Market Sizing and Prioritization:
- Conduct a market sizing exercise to understand the scale and scope of the sustainability market in APAC.
- Prioritize key sectors and markets based on growth potential, regulatory landscape, and the maturity of sustainability practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
