Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Intern


Overview:

The Forward Deployed Engineer Intern will be embedded within our project delivery team, working on-site to support the deployment and configuration of Univers’ smart building and energy management platform. The intern will apply AI tools and analytical thinking to accelerate delivery, troubleshoot integration issues in real time, and help end-users get value from the system.


Job Description:

  • On-Site Platform Deployment Support

    • Support deployment and configuration of the EnOS smart building platform at project sites, including IoT device onboarding and connectivity checks
  • AI-Assisted Analysis & Troubleshooting
    • Apply AI tools to analyse platform data, identify anomalies, and accelerate resolution of technical issues on-site
  • Testing & Delivery Coordination
    • Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT); log issues and coordinate with the engineering team for resolution
  • Documentation
    • Maintain deployment records, configuration notes, and handover documentation for each site


Required Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field

  • Genuine interest in AI and hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. LLMs, AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering) in real projects or coursework
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; able to think clearly under pressure
  • Good communication skills; comfortable working directly with both technical teammates and non-technical users
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment; proactive and willing to get things done
